The Bowls USA Hall of Fame
Each year, Bowls USA honors people for a career of top results on the green, or for outstanding work off the green that helped lawn bowling in America.
Nominations come from the Divisions. The Bowls USA Council votes, and new members are announced at the Opening Ceremonies of the US Open.
Visit the official Hall of Fame pageHow to nominate someone
Know a bowler or volunteer who deserves it? Here is how it works, in plain terms, from the Bowls USA nominating guide:
- Who nominates: nominations go through your Division, not straight from a club or person. The form must be signed by the Division President and sent by the Division Secretary to the Hall of Fame Chairperson.
- Who qualifies: people with outstanding playing records (club to international), long service in elected or appointed roles, or who have helped grow the sport through coaching, promotion and more.
- Deadline: the Chairperson must pass nominations to the National Secretary at least 30 days before the Bowls USA Annual General Meeting, where the Council votes. Ask your Division early for its own cut-off date.
- Good to know: a Hall of Fame member can no longer play on Team USA (they may still serve as a team manager).
Start by talking to your club president or your Division Secretary.

Sandy found lawn bowling in 2011 after moving to Top of the World in Clearwater, Florida. One try and she was hooked. She joined the World Parkway Lawn Bowls Club two years later.
She was U.S. Open Bowler of the Tournament in 2017, and won National Championship gold in Singles (2018) and Pairs (2022 and 2023). She has played for and managed Team USA around the world, from California to Malaysia, China, Australia, Cyprus and Scotland.
Off the green, she served as a Bowls USA Councilor (2016–2020) and Southeast Division President (2021–2022), and is a certified umpire and club coach. She joined the Southeast Division Hall of Fame in 2023.
